Terpenes are the main component of essential oils, which are found mainly in plants such as conifers and cannabis and are often responsible for the characteristic scent of these plants. The typical cannabis scent is therefore the result of the unique terpene mixture found in the cannabis plant. However, terpenes also have an important accompanying effect on the positive effects of cannabinoids.
