Eleutherococcus (Siberian Ginseng)

Pilot studies suggest that eleutherococcus could improve memory function and mood in middle-aged people. Not only because of this, eleutherococcus is described to bring good mood and relief. In another study, the combination of eleutherococcus with rhodiola and schizandra probably helped in improving attention, mental speed and accuracy in women undergoing psychological stress. Many state health agencies have acknowledged eleutherococcus' relaxing effect on the psyche.

Gotu kola

In some therapeutic directions, it is used to treat fatigue, stress, anxiety, depression, psychiatric illnesses, as well as for example Alzheimer's disease, to improve memory, mental performance and to promote logical reasoning. Other folk healers recommend gotu kola for epilepsy, senility and premature aging. It also seems to directly strengthen the adrenal glands, thereby helping to combat and tolerate stress and depression, increase libido, delay and reduce the risk of breakdown, and improve reflexes.

Stonecrop

Positively affects mood and state of consciousness. A study confirmed a beneficial effect on reducing depression, improving physical and mental state and reducing fatigue after four weeks of repeated use of St. John's Wort. A beneficial cosmetic effect was observed in a clinical study, where the effect on skin firmness and elasticity was confirmed. The adaptogenic effect of St John's wort rivals that of ginseng alone, although it does not contain caffeine. It improves memory and increases alertness by increasing dopamine levels, boosting the body's immune response and correcting plasma sugar levels.

Ginkgo Biloba

Ginkgo leaf finds its greatest use in the medicinal sphere. Its contents are able to dilate blood vessels in the brain and thus prevent sudden strokes, myocardial infarction and counteract neurodegenerative processes in the brain associated with old age or loss of cognitive function, such as confusion, memory problems, dizziness, headaches, fatigue, depressed mood and poor concentration.

Tulsi (Holy Basil)

Used to stimulate appetite and for gastrointestinal problems. Basil has strong antioxidant effects through which it stimulates immunity, relieves stress, increases physical strength and immunity. Basil can be taken in a drink with honey to promote a clear mind. Protects against radiation (sun, irradiation, television, computers). Overall, in Ayurveda, it is rated as the herb of first and last choice.

Sage

Another research set-up at the University of Bristol concluded that the sage content in a concentrated extract could help boost cognitive performance, especially in healthy people. This and other stimulating effects were compared with caffeine extract derived from tea or coffee and it was concluded that the two comparison groups shared a similar effect.

Hibiscus

Contributes to the overall refreshment of the body.
