Consumers have loved it since 1913, when it first launched an herbal alcoholic solution of essential oils, fragrances, essential oils and natural menthol under the trade name Francovka. Originally based in Brno, the company is now based in Velké Meziříčí, where it underwent successful privatisation in the early 1990s and continues its century-old tradition as a modern, technologically advanced and prosperous European company.

The original recipe of francovka, which serves as the basis for a wide range of other products, is carefully followed in production to this day. The correct ratio and combination of all ingredients under very strict supervision gives the products almost miraculous properties that find use in many aspects of skin or muscle care. The antiseptic and disinfectant effects, the promotion of healthy blood circulation in the skin, the relaxation of stiff muscles, the alleviation of joint or bone pain accompanied by a pleasant relaxing cooling effect, will reliably satisfy even the most demanding clientele. The ALPA france product line is complemented by products on a similar basis designed for specific applications. The original in typical packaging has been extended with a range of massage creams, gels, hair lotions or shampoos and, most recently, a special series supplemented with hemp extract.

The hemp extract has multifaceted effects and together with the ALPA brand's francaise formula, it creates the perfect elixir for regenerating the body. It effectively eliminates fatigue after physical exertion, induces relaxation and refreshment. It has a beneficial effect on the whole body. The products are intended for external use only, preferably for gentle rubbing into the skin, massaging problem areas, as a bath additive, after dilution as a poultice for sore muscles, as a gargle or, given the high ethanol content, as a disinfectant.
