What is nano CBD?
In fact, nano CBD products are about as technologically advanced as creamy balsamic salad dressing.
Don't be fooled by the big words (and for good measure, the little ones). This text will explain the details of nano CBD oil so that you understand everything correctly. You'll learn how to assess the quality and safety of nano CBD products.
Hemp oil with nano-enhancement = nano-sized CBD oil droplets
It may sound scary, but the term nanotechnology is just a fancy way of saying that a company works with extremely small things. By common definition, these extremely small things should be smaller than 0.0000001 meters, which is 100 nanometers. In the CBD industry, however, the term "nano" is used rather loosely and is often used to refer to much larger things. Why? Simply because "nano" sounds so cool and modern.
And what exactly are these "nano" things? Miniature droplets of CBD oil!
You can think of a drop of any product with CBD oil as one of those kiddie pools full of plastic balls. Most of the contents of these pools are carrier oil molecules (coconut oil, olive oil, etc.), but there are much smaller amounts of CBD molecules scattered throughout - mostly hidden inside the pool and very few on the surface or edges.
Because the mouth and digestive tract are moist places and because oil and water do not mix, when a CBD product is ingested it remains in the form of droplets or beads, with most of the CBD molecules hidden and inaccessible until fully digested.
(And when digested, a large percentage of the CBD you ingest is broken down. Therefore, we strongly recommend that you hold the CBD oil under your tongue or spread it over your gums to help it absorb.)
How does nano CBD work in our watery bodies?
Because the oil doesn't dissolve in water, "nano" CBD companies use one of the oldest tricks in the recipe book. When whipping up homemade salad dressings, recipes usually use honey, mustard or egg yolks. It's not just for taste - these ingredients are natural emulsifiers, which means they help stabilize the oil and water mixture. If you look for pre-mixed salad dressing on the grocery shelf, you'll see that there are other ingredients and chemicals listed. Many of these help keep the oil and water mixed for an unlimited amount of time. If you could zoom in on the salad dressing with a powerful microscope, you would see countless tiny droplets of oil in the vinegar (which is largely made up of water).
What you wouldn't see (although it is there) is the thin layer of emulsifiers and other chemicals that covers the surface of every drop of oil. These are what prevent the oil droplets from combining, rising up and separating from the water. Nano CBD products, such as nano CBD oil and nano CBD water, typically contain CBD oil, water, and other ingredients that help stabilize this emulsion. For example, one of the common ingredients in nano CBD - lecithin, or "phospholipid" - is the same fat found in egg yolks, which is great at preventing the separation of the individual ingredients in salad dressings.
Benefits of CBD enhanced by nanotechnology
There is one main reason to try emulsified CBD oil (called nano CBD). When made properly, emulsified CBD oil could potentially increase the amount of CBD that gets into your bloodstream.
How is that possible?
Larger surface area: your body can more easily digest and absorb the nutrients from the oil when it is broken down into small droplets. The smaller these droplets are, the more surface contact the oil has with your body's enzymes and absorbing tissues. In your digestive tract, your body's natural bile salts emulsify CBD oil and other fats in your diet. Putting the pre-emulsified oil in your mouth will help your body start absorbing the CBD molecules sooner.
Penetration enhancement: nano CBD products usually contain ingredients that belong to a group of chemicals called "penetration accelerators". These include ethanol, propylene glycol and other surfactant molecules that coat the tiny droplets of CBD oil. These chemicals can increase the passage of CBD molecules through the skin and mucous membranes.
Risks and side effects of CBD with nanotechnology
Although CBD enhanced with nanotechnology can quickly deliver more CBD into your bloodstream, there are a few things you should consider before purchasing a nano CBD product:
Added chemicals: nano CBD products Are made using chemicals you may want to avoid. For example, propylene glycol is a common additive in emulsions for better shelf life and was recently named "allergen of the year". Every tiny drop of CBD oil is literally coated with these additives, and different companies use different chemicals to create these emulsions.
Dishonesty: the world nano CBD is unfortunately full of fraudulent products and misinformation. In order to find a trustworthy company, you'll have to put in some work. Beware: many nano CBD companies like to use scientific-sounding language as a smokescreen to make you miss the warning signs. If you don't understand what they're saying, they're probably confusing you on purpose.
Is nano CBD oil worth it?
Whether you should try nano CBD depends on what led you to it in the first place. Most of the benefits promised by nano CBD products are also offered by less modified CBD products available at a much lower price. Below are a few popular reasons why people are considering taking nano CBD:
Are you buying your first CBD product and just came across nano CBD?
Perhaps you should start simple and try out a high quality CBD oil per se. You can use this as a starting point to see how - or even if - you'll want to enhance the experience.
Have you found other CBD products to be ineffective?
First, triple-check that the CBD products you bought before are from a reputable company. (This new, minimally regulated industry is full of scammers, so it's easy to get suckered into buying low-quality products, whether you're buying nano CBD or natural CBD oil).
Do you wish your CBD oil was stronger or do you want to feel its effects faster?
Before you put your bottle of "non-nano" CBD oil away, you can try natural tricks that will increase your body's ability to absorb CBD. For example, try eating a good meal full of healthy fats before taking CBD oil. To speed up the entry of CBD into your bloodstream, try moving CBD oil vigorously in your mouth for a few minutes before swallowing. This not only spreads the oil to the many absorption areas in your mouth, but also partially emulsifies it. You can even add a natural emulsifier, such as a tablespoon of honey.

Sounds reasonable. But be sure to research your options thoroughly and choose a nano CBD company that treats you like a smart person while keeping your safety in mind. While we won't recommend any specific products, we do have a few tips to help you navigate the flood of new products.
Tips for choosing the best nano CBD products:
Don't be fooled by promises: first of all, make sure the manufacturer has used organic, high-quality, full-spectrum or broad-spectrum hemp extract. It should state where and how the plants were grown. Unfortunately, very low quality CBD can end up in nano-products.
Look at the ingredients list: if the product doesn't have an ingredients list, get out fast. The main ingredients should be water, hemp extract/CBD oil, and a few other ingredients to stabilize the emulsion. As with the food you eat, the more chemicals on the list, the more you should be wary of the product.
Nano CBD is not an ingredient: listing nano CBD among the ingredients means that the company is not willing to tell you what other chemicals were used to create the stable little droplets of CBD oil. Don't trust this information in the ingredients list.
Only the oil ingredients are listed: if the main ingredient is only oil, it is not a nano-emulsified CBD product. The manufacturer is just misusing the popular term "nano" to sell you regular CBD oil in a spray bottle.
Websites and certificate analysis: aren't they just trying to confuse you with big words? Don't fall for this trick - scientific jargon is no indication that they know what they are talking about. Rather, buy from companies that clearly explain the manufacture and use of their products and make the full list of ingredients and test results available to the public.
Nano CBD water: the main advantage nano CBD is increased absorption in the mouth. Because your digestive system naturally mixes the oil, consuming products like CBD water that don't spend much time in your mouth before swallowing is not worth it. Look for a more concentrated product that you can hold in your mouth for a few minutes. However, if you don't want to try nano CBD, there are still plenty of natural and inexpensive tricks you can use to increase the absorption of CBD oil.
