Linx Blaze vaporizer review
Easy use
Vape pens are relatively simple devices, and the Linx Blaze is no exception. As with most vape pens, The Blaze turns on after five quick presses of the power button, while you set the wanted temperature with three presses. This feature makes the device suitable for beginners too.
Before use, just pull the mouthpiece out of the atomizer and place a small amount of material into the chamber. Once you are ready, hold down the button, and steam will start to form.
If you leave your device unattended for five minutes, you will need to unlock it again using the same five presses.
Cleaning
Also cleaning is very simple. A cotton swab soaked in isopropanol will do. To make the process even easier, it is handy to slightly heat up the atomizer to lose any accumulated residues.
Cleaning is advisable to do quite often if you want to keep the vaporizer in sound condition. If the wax is let to harden up too much and remains in the vaporizer for a longer time, cleaning will be way more complicated!
Temperature setting
You only have four preset temperatures to choose from. Unfortunately, the exact values are not shown. The user must settle for a simple description of four degrees of temperature, low, medium, medium-high and high, which correspond to blue, green, yellow, and red.
I would instead appreciate an OLED display showing the exact temperature value or some other way. Four preset temperatures seem like a convenient solution, but I personally prefer more freedom.
Design & quality
When I unpacked the device, the first impression was that I was holding a premium product in my hand. It looks awe-inspiring, and each part is well made. The stainless steel finish is beautiful.
The package includes a fairly standard set, containing a battery, quartz atomizer, ceramic atomizer, magnetic mouthpiece cap, two glass mouthpieces, dubbing tool, USB cable, all in an elegant resealable hard case. So you will not t get any special tech-savvy gear. However, it is not a disappointment either.
Portability and discretion
The Blaze is so small that you can palm it easily. It is also very light. More or less, it perfectly fits into any pocket, not to mention a backpack. Moreover, it does not differ from a regular e-cigarette.
Replaceable parts
The modular design allows you to change or replace all parts if you need. You can change the atomizers, mouthpiece, or filter section; you name it.
Steam quality
If you long for really pure and tasty steam, you will love the Blaze. In other reviews, you can read that the amount of steam produced is rather smaller in both attached atomizers, but I think it is sufficient.
I feel that the Blaze belongs among the best on the market for its steam quality. Thus, despite other reviews, I am happy to vape with this device some high-quality full-spectrum CBD concentrates, such as the Girl Scout Cookies from Golden Buds. Its taste and smell stand out when vaped in the Blaze.
Due to the relatively short airflow tube, the two highest temperature settings can irritate the throat or lungs. However, this is nothing unusual compared to other devices.
Battery
With its 900 mAh, the battery is sufficient enough. However, I still feel that slightly more power would better suit the device. Using the micro USB, the charging time is about two hours.
Missing battery gauge knocks down the overall review by a few points. They say in the manual that when the light flashes eight times, it is time to charge the battery. This never happened, and I noticed that the battery had gone flat only when the vaporizer would not turn on. This really did not work out. If finding this issue not bothering you, add an extra ten percent to your rating.
Rating
Linx continues to impress with its versatile and beautifully designed range of portable vape pens, and the Blaze can rightly be considered their flagship. The steam quality is unrivaled. Even a tiny amount of vape material can initiate an excellent experience. Also, the modularity of the Blaze is absolutely unique. Everything is wrapped in an elegant design.
Summary
I was happy with the Linx Blaze. Yet, a few important details are missing to get near perfection. For example, a slightly stronger battery would come in handy, and more accurate temperature settings are a must nowadays. Most importantly, clearer signaling of the battery status should be fixed.
