Official accessories
You can get a replacement mouthpiece, card shredder and charging cable from the G Pen website. However, a card-type shredder is not the best way to shred herbs, so you're better off using a good quality conventional shredder. It's also unnecessary to buy a replacement cord as you can buy one anywhere.
Design & Features
General design: the G Pen Pro has a very sleek, discreet design that looks good but also doesn't attract too much attention, which is quite appropriate. It has a smooth, slim design without any bumps or protrusions because the power button is flush with the body of the vaporizer. This means it fits well in your hand and slips easily into your pocket too.
It has the subtle grey colour that you see on all G Pen vaporizers and looks good without being too flashy. My only problem is that a flat mouthpiece with a small slit is not my favorite type of mouthpiece as it always looks odd. It does help with portability and concealability though, so I can see why they chose it.
Easy to use
It is a pretty good choice for beginners as it is very easy to use. There is only one button to control the power and preset temperatures, so it is easy to get to grips with the Pro. Filling with herb is also easy because when you want to fill the chamber, all you have to do is remove the mouthpiece and put it back on when you're done. The G Pen Pro is a simple and uncomplicated herb vaporizer, which is always a plus.
Quality of workmanship
The G Pen Pro vaporizer is made of aluminum so it's nice and durable, plus it's fingerprint and scratch resistant. The mouthpiece, however, is made of plastic, which is a bit problematic. That's because it's placed directly above the heated chamber, and since plastic doesn't really dissipate heat well, the mouthpiece tends to get hot during use.
Cleaning and maintenance
Taking care of the G Pen Pro is really easy. You can use the included cleaning brush to clean the chamber. As for the mouthpiece, soaking it in isopropyl alcohol for an hour or two should be enough.
How to use it
- Remove the mouthpiece from the vaporizer to reveal the herb chamber.
- Fill the chamber with the herb and replace the mouthpiece.
- Press the power button five times in a row to turn on the device.
- Hold down the power button to scroll through the temperature settings.
- Once the setting is selected and heating is complete, inhale from the mouthpiece.

Performance and vapour quality
Vaporizer performance: the G Pen Pro heats up in about thirty seconds, which is pretty fast for a dry herb vaporizer. As I mentioned before, the mouthpiece does get a little warm after a while of use.
Vapour quality: the vapour produced by the G Pen Pro is passable. You wouldn't expect amazing vapor quality from an herbal vaporizer in this price range, but the Pro isn't the best in this category either. The vapor quality starts out at a decent level but drops off during each session, which is quite disappointing.
I got the best steam at the lowest temperature because at higher temperatures the steam was too harsh and unpleasant. The vapor production is not very dense regardless of the temperature setting, which is not downright bad since the Pro is supposed to be a discreet vaporizer.
Battery power
The battery lasts only about thirty to forty minutes and takes about two hours to recharge. Those aren't great numbers even when you consider its size and price.
