G-Pen Elite 2 (REVIEW): the new gold standard among vaporizers

After the G-Pen Elite saw the light of day in 2016, it was clear that this was a breakthrough in the field of portable vaporizers. And there was quite a long wait for the next model.
The G-Pen Elite 2 doesn't disappoint, offering a modern package of design, features and functions that will make vaping a true vaping experience. At first glance, the Elite 2 looks like a faithful copy of its predecessor, which featured a minimalist and ergonomically functional aesthetic. But beneath the surface lies a completely different "machine". In fact, the Elite 2 features a high-resolution, full-color TFT display, haptic feedback, a magnetic zirconium mouthpiece with a spiral ceramic channel for air cooling, a ceramic chamber and dual technology combining convection and conduction heating, all in a durable zinc alloy body. This also houses the cleaning tool. But the list of attractive features doesn't end there. Above that, the Elite 2 features a 2100mAh battery that charges via USB-C, as well as WiFi connectivity that allows users to update firmware as well as track device usage statistics.
For minimalists
With most devices, design is on the sidelines and the focus is on other parameters, but with the G-Pen Elite 2 it can't be ignored. The unobtrusive colour, the simple shape and austere lines, the body without contrasts and partitions. The vaporizer is made of zinc alloy, strong and durable. Mouthpiece on top, control buttons on the sides and USB-C port on the bottom. So unobtrusive that it provides enough discretion when vaping and is easily hidden in the palm of your hand when needed. But as simple as the vaporizer is to look at, it's all the more surprising what the inconspicuous device hides inside.

As soon as one new product appears and gains sufficient support among users, other manufacturers start to project it into entire product lines. The USB-C port for fast charging is no exception. The 2100 mAh battery can easily handle an hour of vaping, and it takes just ninety minutes from zero to full charge.
The magic of heating
Heating is extremely important in a vaporizer, and the Californian manufacturer places great emphasis on it. The G-Pen Elite 2 relies on dual technology that uses a combination of convection and conduction heating. The innovative system of air paths and two heating elements allows the full potential of vaporized herbs to be exploited and the full range of flavours and effects that flowers offer to be achieved, but if the user is not comfortable with the combined heating method, they can deactivate convection.
On the one hand this is an innovative step, unfortunately it has its pitfalls and the lack of heat dissipation and the combination of two heating systems can cause the silicone sleeve to overheat. But this is a problem with many vaporizers and Grenco Science is solving it for the time being by limiting the heating or by eliminating the conduction.
