Flowermate Slick vaporizer review
Easy use
I am not a fan of reading over manuals. I find it a waste of time because most devices are controlled very almost the same way. Get the mouthpiece ready, fill the herb chamber, press the power button five times, set the temperature, and wait a moment. Similarly, everything is done through a single button when it comes to the Slick. Moreover, the device is also equipped with vibration, activated when the desired temperature is reached.
Temperature setting
As I mentioned earlier, the Slick has only one button that controls everything, including the temperature inside the chamber. You can choose from three preset values, 196 °C, 205 °C, and 215 °C. However, the device does not have a display showing the exact temperature. A color-changing light replaces this function; blue is for the lowest temperature, green goes for medium, and red represents the highest one. Although experienced users may prefer more detailed settings, one degree at a time, for example, the preset value system is handy for beginners.
Heating system
The Flowermate Slick uses the hybrid heating system, combining convection and conduction vaporization. The ceramic chamber is very well made. It can hold about half a gram of chopped herbs. Also, two capsules are available in the equipment for optional insertion into the chamber. The first one is a steel herb capsule that reduces the size of the chamber. The second capsule is made for oils or waxes. It takes about 35 seconds to heat up to the set temperature, which is quite fast.
Steam quality
The steam quality is slightly above average. It is pleasantly smooth in terms of taste. A glass mouthpiece together with the well-made ceramic chamber is the reason. Unfortunately, the amount is rather below average, likewise the density. However, given the meager price of the vaporizer, this is not a significant issue.
Battery
The Flowermate Slick is equipped with a Li-ion 2500 mAh battery, which ensures up to an hour of continuous vape time. What I liked the most is that the battery is simply replaceable. Therefore, the user can buy a spare one and use the vaporizer even when the other one goes flat.
Quality
The Flowermate Slick’s body is made of carbon fiber, which looks really stylish. Also, the device is made to last. The cap covering the mouthpiece perfectly suits the design. Plus, it is magnetic and can be easily placed on the underside during use, so you will not lose it or leave it behind someplace. Its esthetically made control button bordered with the indicating light makes the device look really sharp. In other words, the Slick looks like a high-class machine!
Portability and discretion
The Flowermate Slick is not optimal when it comes to portability and discretion. The device is quite long (sixteen centimeters). Still, it is not the size of desktop vaporizers. Yet, it is not particularly heavy either. Nevertheless, if discretion and inconspicuousness are essential to you, there are noticeably smaller devices on the market nowadays.
Cleaning
Maintaining the Flowermate Slick is straightforward. The included brush allows you to remove all the remaining material from previous use easily. As for the mouthpiece, a cotton swab dipped into isopropanol will do the job just fine.
Rating
The Flowermate Slick is an excellent choice for those who are new to the world of vaping. It is affordable, and the single-button control is excellent. The vaporizer offers relatively high-quality steam and does not break easily. A plus is a capsule for concentrates and waxes.
