CBD drops and rosacea - a solution on the horizon

Rosacea can occur in men (who have a more severe course when it occurs) and in children, but most cases affect women between the ages of thirty and sixty, when the skin is severely tested and has to cope with many changes. At first it is only a local redness, but later the disease develops into a chronic problem. Once it's fully manifested, it's hard to fight. You can't do without prescription drugs. Permanently dilated blood vessels on the face are a major blow to the patient's self-esteem, and the associated tension and itching only makes the situation worse. Rosacea is primarily a visual problem, women deal with it first. Left untreated, the disease can unfortunately quickly worsen, and you can go from blood vessels to pimples, painful inflammation, irritated and bloodshot eyes or puffy skin around the nose. The occasional redness that one normally associates with temperature, physical activity or emotions that subside over time can become a literal nightmare.

There are many prejudices that you can't get rid of rosacea and it is better to put up with it. There is no complete cure, but early diagnosis and consistent skin care can significantly reduce its symptoms. Prescription drugs are quite strong, have a range of side effects and are not good for the body in the long term. On the other hand, the list of natural helpers is not very long. Aloe vera is effective, followed by oatmeal, chamomile and green tea, vegetable butters with a thick consistency and cosmetics with propolis also help. But skin with rosacea is so sensitive and prone to irritation that even completely harmless raw materials can provoke a strong reaction. But CBD oil is worth a try, as more and more patients are confirming.

The problem with rosacea is that it is not known exactly what causes it. Genetics, immune and nervous system disorders, poor lifestyle. It is believed that people who suffer from rosacea have gone through a bout of stress, a life loss or other critical situation in the past. The factors are many. However, most experts are inclined to believe that microscopic mites are "operating" on the skin, which, together with intestinal bacteria, trigger a reaction in the immune system leading to dilation of blood vessels, swelling and redness. This process seems to take place in other places in the body, but in the face it does the most damage.

CBD - the last resort

Unlike prescription drugs, which can thin the skin and damage or even damage the kidneys and liver with long-term use, cannabidiol is safe and free of side effects (if any occur, they are very minor and soon go away and do not need to be suppressed with medication). CBD's ability to alleviate the symptoms of rosacea has long been underestimated, but studies have shown that it has a range of effects that may ultimately affect the progression of the disease.

Antimicrobial properties of CBD

Active sebaceous glands and bacteria do not only aggravate acne, but also a whole range of skin problems, including rosacea. CBD is one of the few that will relieve redness and relieve uncomfortable tension. Besides, it can help with the pain associated with pimples, boils and overgrown skin.

Analgesic properties of CBD

Cannabidiol is effective in fighting pain, tension and discomfort. With rosacea, patients experience discomfort ranging from itching to burning and the impression of tight skin. Thanks to CBD's analgesic abilities, all of these symptoms can be alleviated.

Regulation of the stress response

Stress and psychological strain provoke numerous reactions, and aggravation of rosacea is among the most common. Due to the fact that CBD positively affects anxious states, the skin is not under pressure and changes in moods and emotions do not affect and burden the vascular system.

CBD and its ideal form

It cannot be determined exactly whether the skin tested with rosehip suits the topical product or the CBD oil. The cream applied directly to the skin works almost immediately and provides quick relief from the problem. However, direct contact may cause an adverse reaction (with CBD the risk is minimal). Sublingual use of cannabidiol is slower and takes several hours for the drops to enter the bloodstream and take effect, but the effects are more lasting and in the case of vascular problems this method of application may be preferable. You need to try it for yourself and decide which option suits you better. But if it is an acute matter, it is of course better to choose a topical product and bet on an immediate effect.
